We would like to give a very special welcome to our newest member of the Boatshed Lake Michigan Team, Dan Volling. Dan brings a wealth of "business" knowledge to Boatshed Lake Michigan with his many years of experience as a high ranking manager in the financial world. As an owner of two boats, he has a long love affair with the water and appreciates boats with great speed the most. Dan will be handling listings and sales in the Chicago and Chicago-land markets. When John came to me and said that we have an opportunity of a lifetime, I never once looked back. Boats have been John's and my passion since our youth (with John's 10 years in the US Coast Guard and I growing up sailing out of St. Joseph Michigan and the Gulf of Mexico), so the opportunity to join Boatshed was too much to resist. There weren't too many reasons to leave our previous professions, with both of us being very accomplished in our fields (John = Physical Therapist, and Matt = General Management in the construction of Recreational Vehicles) but the call of the water, and the opportunity to bring our experiences to the Boating community made it an easy one. Of course John and I have other interests outside of boats (John races bicycles, I play Hockey, and we both have fantastically active children), but our minds keep coming back to how to make the listing and buying experience of boats more convenient for our customers.
